DESCRIPTION: Join AIA Detroit for an event that explores how architectural practices can move beyond the hype of artificial intelligence and toward meaningful implementation. Led by Karl Daubmann and Sara Codarin, the session begins with a lecture outlining challenges, opportunities, and frameworks for integrating AI into workflows, followed by an interactive workshop where participants identify opportunities for AI deployment within their own practices.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Participants will be able to identify practical applications of artificial intelligence within architectural practice, including opportunities for integration in design workflows, research, and project delivery.
- Participants will be able to evaluate emerging AI tools and workflows in relation to organizational structure, practice efficiency, and decision-making in architectural firms.
- Participants will be able to develop strategies for implementing AI within their own practices by assessing opportunities, constraints, and ethical considerations.
- Participants will be able to apply workshop methods to map and prioritize AI deployment opportunities relevant to their firm size, project type, and operational goals.
