About this Event
AI Through a Systems Lens - Practical Insights and Real World Application
Artficial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the way engineers analyse problems, generate solutions and communicate ideas. This session explores Artificial Intelligence in a systems thinking context, highlighting how AI Large Language Models (LLMs) function, where they excel, and where their limitations require careful human oversight. The presentation provides practical examples of using AI across a wide range of engineering related tasks. Participants will learn how to effectively use AI, and recognise that LLMs should support, not replace, human decision making for complex systems.
Speaker - Dr Joseph Kasser,
Principal: The Right Requirement
Dr Kasser is now a mentor and coach after having been a successful practicing systems engineer and project manager for almost 50 years and an academic for 20 years. He is a recipient of NASA’s Manned Space Flight Awareness Award (Silver Snoopy) for performing and directing systems engineering, and many other awards and commendations. He is the author of seven published books on systems engineering and more than 50 peer reviewed journal and conference publications.
