About this Event
Chaired by Professor Anita Grigoriadis, academics from across King's Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine and Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience will provide an overview of their research relating to AI assisted tools for healthcare. The panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
<h4>Speakers</h4>Dr Anna Barnes is Director of the King's Technology Evaluation Centre and President of the Inst of Physics and Engineering in Medicine.
Dr Thomas C Booth is an Honorary Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiologist at King’s College Hospital, London. He is also a Reader in Neuroimaging in the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London. His research interests are in (1) neuro-oncology (especially relating to diagnostic AI), (2) neurovascular (robotics) and (3) abnormality detection (especially relating to diagnostic AI).
Professor Anita Grigoriadis is a Professor in the School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences at King’s, the School Lead (International) and Training Lead for the CRUK KHP Centre, and holds a guest lecturership at Birkbeck College, University of London.
Dr Ben Holgate is a Senior Research Fellow in Machine Learning in the Department of Neuroscience, King's College London. He is working on a research project that applies AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to electronic health records.
