About this Event
Join Curia’s Health, Care, and Life Sciences Research Group and UKAI for a parliamentary roundtable on AI Adoption in Healthcare, hosted by Lizzi Collinge MP and chaired by former Minister of State at the Department of Health and Care, Rt Hon Andrew Stephenson CBE.
This session brings together national research leaders, parliamentarians, industry representatives, and North West innovation partners to explore how the UK can accelerate safe, effective, and economically meaningful adoption of AI across the NHS.
The discussion will focus on the Government’s plans to expand responsible use of AI in health services, the regulatory and standards work led through the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare, and the major opportunities for investment and real-world deployment across the North West.
Speakers Include:
- Professor Alastair Denniston, Chair of the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare (hosted by MHRA), Executive Director of CERSI-AI, and Council Member of the Regulatory Horizons Council
- Professor Mike Lewis, Director of Innovation, National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)
The session will feature closing reflections from Natasa Mihajlovic, Chair, UKAI Life Sciences Working Group.
