About this Event
In this two hour teaching artist workshop, educators will learn how to shift their curriculum to be applicable to both youth and older adult cohorts. Led by Brooklyn Arts Council's teaching artists with extensive expertise in teaching multiple cohort age ranges, this workshop will focus on teaching the very young, K-1st grade, and older adults, 65+, and outlining the different learning needs of both cohorts. The workshop will focus on how to directly adapt activities and games between the two learner cohorts. Educators attending this workshop will leave with an understanding of how to best structure their lesson plans across age ranges, and with a toolbox of tips and tricks for repurposing activities in their classrooms.
