About this Event
Join us for our fifth annual showcase, which takes place during a landmark year for Brunel, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary and excellence in ageing research. This event will bring together a range of engaging activities designed to highlight current research, encourage participation and spark conversation.
What to expect:
- Health MOT;
- Opportunities to take part in research projects;
- Interactive workshops on various topics led by Brunel researchers;
- Introduction to, and update on, the Ghana BORG (UGORG);
- Screen Walk - a guided tour of iconic film locations across the Brunel campus (limited spaces);
- Sound bath and meditation session (limited spaces).
Workshops include:
- Data Detectives: making sense of interview data.
- Exploring Online Safety: understanding opportunities and risks around AI and the digital.
- Guidance in Dementia (for participants with lived experience of dementia, either through a relative or if you are living with dementia)
- Portable electronic devices to promote mental wellbeing. What is the way forward for ethical sharing of mental wellbeing data?
Sign up for all sessions is on the event day only. Please note that most have a limited capacity and sign up is on a 'first come, first served' basis.
You are welcome to drop in at any point — and stay for as long as you like. We’ll also be hosting a BBQ lunch, so do join us.
A full programme of activities will be provided nearer the time.
Refreshments will be available from 9.30am, the day’s events will start at 10am and we will finish with tea and cake at 3.30pm.
