The Challenge Area of Creative Secure Connected Communities is pleased to present a session entitled ‘Weapons of Mass Persuasion’. This interactive session will examine meaning-making and effective communication in an era increasingly defined by false information deliberately spread to deceive or manipulate others.

6.30pm Panel debate: Zeroing in on Net Zero Eastern Gateway Auditorium
Panel Chair: Professor Sarita Malik
Panellists: Professor Gareth Dale. Further Panellists to be confirmed.
Panellists will have a broad range of expertise and perspective, including both social and physical sciences. They will have a broad reaching debate. What is Net Zero? Is it achieveable? Who in our global society are the winners and losers as we strive towards Net Zero? What about Climate Change impacts and mitigations? They may challenge eachother and the audience to re-evaluate beliefs and assumptions.
The panel will discuss a selection of questions submitted in advance.
