About this Event

Welcome to the AGA Doors Open Day 2025 at The Alasdair Gray Archive! Join us on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of September, 2025.

Glasgow is a visionary city and it was Alasdair Gray who first explored this, through writing in his seminal novel Lanark (1981), the imaginative potential of what the city could hold. Our tour will bring this to life via access to our collection and our new exhibition ‘The City’ devised by our curatorial assistant, Holly Rennie Brown. There will be free self-led activities for children/young people as part of the tour exploring Glasgow as a visionary city including an activity sheet and opportunity to help us build a Minecraft ‘Glasgow of the Imagination’

Booking essential via Eventbrite
