About the Event
The Academy Group is excited to offer our 9th –11th grade members a hands-on Cooking Class at The Chopping Block, one of Chicago’s premier culinary spaces. During this interactive workshop, members will learn fundamental cooking techniques, practice kitchen safety, follow recipes, and prepare a meal from scratch.

- Academy Group 9th–11th Grade Members
What to Expect
- A guided cooking lesson led by professional chefs
- Hands-on meal preparation stations
- A shared meal at the end of class
- Skill-building in collaboration, communication, and culinary techniques
- All ingredients and materials provided by The Chopping Block
Transportation
- Bus transporation provided from Kenwood
- Members must arrive on time to board the bus - late arrivals will not be accommodated. Drop-off and pick-up times will be sent via email
