About this Event

A Conversation About Mass Media, Misinformation, & Distorted Reality

Join an Assistant Professor & PhD Candidate for You're Being Manipulated: The Deception of Modern Media, an engaging session that explores how information is shaped, filtered, and often distorted in today’s media landscape. We’ll dive into how news, entertainment, and digital platforms influence what we see, what we believe, and how we interpret the world around us examining the forces that blur the line between fact, opinion, and distraction.

This isn’t a lecture on media theory or academic jargon. The media is more appealing than ever before, and, at times, distracting and distorting. You'll leave this talk reflecting on whether and how you can resist the media without fear of being subjected to control and media manipulation. Curiosity encouraged.
