Mark May the Fourth with a fun origami session where kids can make their own imaginative spacecraft.
About this Event

May the Fourth be with you and come and learn the ways of the folds to make exciting spaceship origami. Young padawan-level paper folders will crease, fold, and swoosh their way through a galaxy far, far nearby. Please note droids will not be served.

Little hands may need adult help.

Ages 5-12

Explore and learn the art of origami and borrow from our collection here.

We may take photographs of the facilitators and the participants at this event. Read here for more details.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

MICHAEL CLONARIS is an origami artist based in Sydney. He has been a practicing artist since 1984, when his sister returned from Japan and taught him three origami designs. Michael has taught Origami to both children and adults at many schools, fairs and community group workshops.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

MARRICKVILLE LIBRARY is accessible from street level.

If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully, please let us know in the booking order form to ensure that we can arrange any reasonable adjustments. Please note: the venue is accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

CHILDREN'S LIBRARY PROGRAM GUIDELINES

Our activities are designed specifically for the age range stated. Age requirements are set based on content and to ensure a fun experience for all participants. Please consider this before booking your child in for an activity.

Places are limited, and bookings that do not meet the age requirements will be cancelled so another child that meets the age requirement may have the place.

Entry may be refused where an attendee is not within the age range advertised.

If you are unable to attend the activity, please cancel your booking as soon as possible to enable another child to participate. You can also contact the library on 02 9392 5588.

As library programs have limited spaces, failure to notify staff of cancellations on more than two occasions over a 12-month period, may result in bookings being refused in the future.

Parents and/or carers of participants under the age of 11, must remain in the vicinity of the program, in case of emergency and to collect the child at the end of the advertised program session time.
