About this Event

Community Corner is a service run by the NHS aiming to combat social isolation and help people to live well in their communities. We run activities to promote health and wellbeing every Tuesday at Earl’s Court and Thursday at Violet Melchett.

We’re excited to host a vibrant Afrobeats Dance Class at Earl’s Court Health and Wellbeing Hub on Tuesday 9th December. Please arrive promptly - refreshments will be served after the class, please arrive ontime. This fun, high-energy session blends Afrobeats, Soca, Afro RnB and more - designed to get you moving, feeling good, and celebrating community through dance and music!

Afrobeats Dance Session with Cheri Coco

Get ready to move and groove in our energetic Afrobeats dance fitness class! You'll explore a vibrant fusion of traditional African dance movements and modern Afrobeats styles, designed to get your heart pumping and bring joy and connection. Expect to try dynamic steps such as Azonto’s rhythmic footwork and shoulder work, Shoki’s playful upper-body gestures, and the expressive isolations of Gwara Gwara - plus fluid waist movements and rhythmic stepping, all set to the infectious pulse of Afrobeats music.

No dance experience is needed - just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to sweat, smile, and unleash your inner dancer!
