💡 The African Kidz Club serves as a vital resource-sharing and support community primarily
for children of African descent, as well as other ethnic minority kids. Our mission is to foster a sense of belonging and cultural pride while providing a safe space for children to connect, learn, and express themselves. This Juneteenth event is designed to celebrate Black excellence, creativity, and community spirit, offering fun and meaningful activities that empower our youth. In this exciting three-hour session, kids will do hands-on activities, learn about culture, and enjoy music and movement together.
1:00-1:30pm
📚 What's Juneteenth? | A simple introduction to important African history and Juneteenth.
1:30-3:00pm
🎨 Street Art 101 | Learn the basics of street art and express the creativity of the participants.
3:00-3:30pm
🥁 African Drumming | Try African drumming rhythms and learn the beats together.
3:30-4:00pm
💃 African Dancing | Learn simple dance moves and enjoy dancing together to get our hearts beating with the rhythm.
