On the occasion of International Women's Day we turn our attention to women in Afghanistan who face unprecedented challenges as their fundamental rights continue to erode under Taliban rule. Education, employment, and personal freedoms are being restricted—yet Afghan women continue to show remarkable resilience in their fight for dignity and justice!
The United Nations Student Association Oslo are proud and lucky to announce a workshop on women’s rights in Afghanistan with renowned journalist and author Yama Wolasmal!✨ As a highly accomplished journalist and Middle East correspondent for NRK, Yama Wolasmal has covered major global events, reported from conflict zones, and provided in-depth analysis on political and human rights issues. He provides expert knowledge and deep insights into the region’s political landscape, the precarious situation for Afghan women and their struggle for freedom and dignity.
Together, we will examine the historical developments, the impact of recent policies, and the ongoing struggle for gender equality in Afghanistan. Through expert analysis and thought-provoking discussions, we will explore how the international community can support Afghan women in their fight for justice and freedom!💛
