About this Event
Adventures in Systems Engineering is a training course based off the book of the same name published by The Institute for Systems Engineering (). It take participants through a full engineering life cycle, with practical exercises on all the Systems Engineering activities that take place throughout, all the while using the scenario of a fantasy quest to rescue a cursed village of elves.
This is a special in-person, fully residential offering of our Adventures in Systems Engineering course that brings all delegates up to the INCOSE Awareness Level of competence in Systems Engineering. This Summer School is specifically for industry professionals in roles of any engineering discipline, or in non engineering roles working on complex projects who may still need an appreciation of Systems Engineering.
What youβll get from this residential course:
- Three days of industry level training in Systems Engineering across a full engineering life cycle led by the author of 'Adventures in Systems Engineering'. The course contains modules on: Introduction to Systems Engineering; Stakeholder Engagement; Context Diagrams; Life Cycle Concepts; Requirements Definition; Interfaces; Breakdown Structures; Concept Design; Trade-Offs and Design Decisions; Detailed Design; Assembly and Integration; Testing; Verification and Validation; the V model.
- Training told through fantasy adventure with hand painted illustrations and original story - based on non traditional learning methods and all materials built to be accessible for neurodivergent learners.
