Adventures in Close Embrace!A day’s immersive workshop with Kate and Tony (KTtango) and Lorraine and Robert (Lorraine and Robert Tango).
Dancing in close embrace is one of the chief pleasures of tango. Spend a day with two of East Anglia’s leading teaching couples exploring the creative possibilities of this intimate style. We’ll look at ways its close connection can take you further into the heart of the music and the shared experience of the dance. If you value deep engagement with your partner over complex patterns of steps, this workshop is for you.
Kate and Tony will be looking firstly at the structure of close embrace and then delve into using alterations and changes of direction in close embrace.
Lorraine and Robert will be looking at circularity in close embrace, how to achieve beautiful, exciting and flowing movements around each other!
📅Date: Sunday 25th January 2026
⏰Time: 11-12.30pm; lunch break 12.30-1.00pm (please bring your own lunch);
1.00-2.30pm, followed by practise session till close at 3pm.
