Clay Adventures (Ages 12–14)Explore the creative possibilities of clay in this hands-on class led by local potter and educator Annelie Haberman.
Designed for older youth ready to deepen their skills, this class introduces foundational ceramic techniques used by professional artists, including slab and coil building, sculpting, texturing, slip trailing, and “scratch and attach” construction. Through guided instruction and open-ended projects, students will develop technical confidence while shaping their own creative ideas.
Participants can create functional works like mugs and bowls, decorative pieces such as tiles and luminaries, or imaginative sculptural forms inspired by fantasy, storytelling, and personal interests. This class supports independent thinking, craftsmanship, and artistic growth in a supportive studio environment.
