About this Event

Course Overview
This specialized manual therapy course is designed exclusively for speech-language pathologists who work with voice disorders. Presented as a unique collaboration between NYU Langone's Voice & Swallowing Center (NYULVSC) and Amplified Voice Manual Therapy (AVMT), this course represents a special adaptation of the AVMT curriculum tailored specifically for clinicians dedicated to voice care.

NYULVSC is pleased to host Christine Schneider, LMT and Aliza Rudavsky, DPT, Ph.D., co-founders of AVMT, as lead instructors. Their evidence-informed, hands-on approach to manual therapy for the voice will be integrated with expert clinical perspectives from NYULVSC laryngologists and voice-specialized speech-language pathologists.

The course will run February 27-28, 2026, from 8 am-5 pm each day.

Ticket Pricing Transparency:
The ticket price for this event is $595. The total shown ($636.76) includes Eventbrite’s processing and service fees, which are displayed upfront. There will be no additional or surprise fees added at checkout.

What Makes This Course Unique
This special edition course goes beyond technique instruction by emphasizing physiologic foundations for techniques and clinical integration. Participants can expect a highly interactive experience including:

  • Asynchronous didactic content covering physiologic foundations (self-paced, to be completed before the event)
  • Foundations of touch and types of manual therapy
  • Hands-on instruction in AVMT techniques (and dedicated time for supervised practice)
  • Clinical interdisciplinary perspectives provided by NYU laryngologists and voice SLPs
  • Emphasis on safe, effective use in medical voice settings

As this course is directed toward the typical SLP clinical setting, techniques are conveniently designed for a patient in a seated position.

Who Should Attend
