What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that things can change, to cancel or substitute your registration for a future date please contact us via email at [email protected] or call us at 650-922-3923. Please note! Cancellation is possible up to 5 days before the start of a course with a full refund excluding a 4% transaction fee. Cancellation requests received within 5 full business days before the course, will receive a credit (no cash value) towards a future workshop. No credits or refunds will be available for participants who fail to attend after the class starts.

What are the requirements for the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification?

To receive the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification, you need to have a current Certified ScrumMaster certification with the Scrum Alliance and have 1 year of work experience as a ScrumMaster in the last 5 years, and satisfactorily complete an accredited A-CSM program like ours.

How does the self-paced program work?

Your Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM) coursework is designed to provide a flexible, personalized learning experience. The majority of the program is completed online at your own pace, allowing you to engage with the material through carefully curated readings, videos, and quizzes. As you progress, you'll complete assignments that demonstrate your understanding and practical application of advanced Scrum concepts. These assignments are submitted to your Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) instructor, who will review your work, provide a grade, and offer detailed, personalized feedback to guide your growth.

To further support your learning journey, you will have the opportunity to participate in four one-hour coaching sessions with your instructor. These sessions are a requirement for certification and provide valuable one-on-one time to discuss course concepts, ask questions, and receive targeted guidance. The combination of self-paced study and expert coaching ensures that you can learn at a speed that suits your schedule while still receiving the support needed to deeply understand and apply advanced Scrum principles. This immersive, flexible approach empowers you to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as a Scrum Master in today's complex business environments.

I do not have the required work experience yet, can I still start the program?

The 12 months of work experience specific to the role of Scrum Master or Product Owner can be met at any time once you've attended an A-CSM or A-CSPO course. The work experience must be within the past five years.

How long does it take for me to complete the program?

The program is self-paced; you choose how fast or slow you want to progress. The typical student completes the material in about three months. You have access to the material for six months. After that time, you will need to purchase an extension to continue accessing the learning platform.

How soon can I start the program after I sign up?

We will send you a welcome email within one business day and introduce you to your instructor and some recommended pre-work. Within a couple of days, you will get an invite to join the Applied Frameworks Online Academy platform, where you will complete all your assignments.

Is there a test at the end of the program? Will my work be graded?

There are NO tests to obtain any of the certifications that you can achieve with our programs. However, the Scrum Alliance places a strong emphasis on validated work experience to receive more advanced certifications. Since our CSTs are the ones charged by the Scrum Alliance to make sure that learners who they certify meet a level of competency, as you go along, your assignments and exercises will be evaluated by your instructor and will have to be satisfactorily performed for them to request your certification be issued. They will be looking for evidence that you can put into practice what you have learned in the program with a Scrum/Agile team. In addition, you can agree to mentor if you would like deeper responses to questions and topics.
