About this Event
Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over.
The MHFA course covers topics such as depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, and substance use disorders. In addition, the course emphasizes the concept of recovery and resiliency, emphasizing that individuals who are experiencing these challenges can and do get better and can use their strengths to remain healthy.
