Learn how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
About this Event

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a program of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. It was brought to the United States in 2008 with the aim to make it as common as physical First Aid and CPR.

MHFA is an 8-hour, skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis.

Studies show that MHFA training reduces stigma, improves knowledge and increases first aid actions toward people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. It is an opportunity for personal and professional development.

Registration is due on Monday, December 9th, (or until space is reached) and a 2-hour self paced course is due prior to the training.

This will be a full day: 12/23/24 8:30am EST - 4:30pm EST
