About this Event
In this workshop with Elizabeth Loveday, participants will learn how to use bondaweb as a collaging technique with fabric.
Elizabeth will guide you through working with fabrics of different weights, textures, patterns and ages to build layered textile pieces. Using this method, you’ll create fabric interpretations of some of Hayle's historic steamships, made by world-famous 19th century iron foundry Harvey & Co.
The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in textiles, collage, creative practice and local history, whether you’re a beginner or already a seasoned textile arist.
This workshop is being offered at a subsidised price, funded by Little Parc Owles Trust.
Suitable for all abilities. Materials will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring along any personal fabric that they would like to encorporate in their piece.
There will be an hour-long lunch break. Lunch will not be provided but there are lots of food options in the locality.
