Through four Sundays in March, Faith Lutheran Church will host a 1-hour class providing a broad-based understanding of Islam—the world religion with teachings closest to Christianity. The class will meet after the Sunday worship and will be taught by Dr. Michael Chrzastowski, a Lutheran schooled in Islam, who has taught at many ELCA churches in Western Washington.The four classes will cover the life and times of Muhammad, structure and content of the Qur’an, Islamic theology, and Muslim practice. There will also be a group field trip to the mosque in Bellingham to observe Friday prayer.
The class is free and all are welcome.
