"The Outsiders is an adaptation of a coming-of-age novel set in 1960s Oklahoma. The story follows a 14-year-old boy named Ponyboy Curtis and his close-knit group of friends. They are part of the “Greasers,” a working-class group constantly at odds with the wealthier “Socs.”
As tensions between the two groups escalate, Ponyboy begins to question the divisions that shape his world—social class, loyalty, identity, and what it really means to belong. Through friendship, family struggles, and moments of self-reflection, the story explores themes of brotherhood, empathy, and the loss of innocence.
It’s a powerful, character-driven play about growing up, seeing beyond labels, and discovering that people are often more alike than they seem.
Warning: This play is recommended for audience members 13+ due to mature themes and content including smoking, violence and death. For those who are photosensitive; flashing lights will be used at various points in the production."
