About this Event
DESCRIPTION
Empowering adolescents and young adults (AYAs) to actively participate in their health care promotes positive development, prevents health problems, and improves their overall well-being. Health care professionals, institutions, communities, and families play an integral role in providing opportunities and implementing programs and practices to develop knowledgeable adolescents and engage them in their own health care. This includes improving the quality of care by integrating the values and opinions of the AYAs they serve. Adult-youth partnerships build competencies, confidence, connection, character, and empathy enabling AYAs to take better care of their health and mental health. They will be better equipped to cope with challenges and use opportunities to enhance their abilities and develop into healthy adults.
This year's conference will be hybrid. You have the option to attend in-person or virtually.
