نەورۆزی بەرگریی و پشتیوانی لە ڕۆژهەڵاتشێرکۆ کرمانج و هەڵکەوت پشدەری
نەورۆزی ئەمساڵ لە دۆخێکدا دەگرین کە ڕۆژاڤا خۆڕاگریی نواند، باشوور بوو بە گۆڕەپانی یەکبوونی کوردستانیان، ڕۆژهەڵات لە چاوەڕوانیی ڕزگاریی و ئازادیدایە و باکوور ئارەزووی ئاشتییەتی. لە سۆنگەی ئەو دۆخەی ئێستا کوردستانی پێدا تێپەڕ دەبێت، بەتایبەتی ڕۆژهەڵات، لە کۆمەڵەی کوردی بەچاکمانزانی کە فۆرم و شێوازی ئاهەنگگێڕانمان بە نەورۆزی ئەمساڵ ڕەنگدانەوەی دۆخی وڵات بێت. بۆیە بڕیارماندا کە نەورۆزی خۆڕاگریی و پشتیوانیی لە ڕۆژهەڵات ڕابگەیەنین.
لە نەورۆزدا ئاهەنگی خۆڕاگریی دەگێڕین و شایی بۆ پشتیوانی ڕۆژهەڵات دەکەین. ئەمە ئەمڕۆ نییە کە نەورۆزی کوردان نەورۆزی بەرخۆدان و ڕاپەڕین و بەرەنگاربوونەوە بووە. کورد لە دێرزەمانەوە کە دەست لە دەست شایی کردووە، کە ژن و پیاو ڕەشبەڵەکیان بەستاوە، ویستویانە یەکبوونی نەتەوەیی نیشانی نەیاران و داگیرکەرانی کوردستان بدەن. کاتێک کوردان بەڕیز قاچیان لە عەرد دەدەن و ڕمبەی پێیان دێت، بەداگیرکەران دەڵێن ئێمە بە ناخی ئەو زەوییەدا ڕۆچووین و کەس ناتوانێت ڕەگوڕیشەمان دەربێنێت.
کورد، نە وەک فارس، نە وەک عەرەب، نە وەک تورک، بە تەنیا سەما ناکات، ئەگەر ئەوان بۆ خۆشی سەما بکەن ئەوە کورد هەڵپەڕکێ بۆ جەنگ، بۆ کار و تێکۆشان؛ بۆخەم و شیوەن؛ بۆ شادی دەکات. نەورۆزی ئێمە هەمیشە بۆ هەموو ئەوانە بووە و هی ئەمساڵیش لەسەر هەمان ڕیتم و نەریت بۆ جەنگ و بۆ کار و بۆ خەم و بۆ شیوەن و بۆ شادییە.
کوردان لە نەورۆزدا کە شایی دەکەن و سەرچۆپی دەگرن هێما بۆ ڕێبەرانی نەتەوەکەیان دەکەین؛ کاتێک دەستماڵ دەلەرزێننەوە، هێما بۆ ئاڵای کوردستان دەکەن، کە ئاماژەشە بۆ بەگژداچوونەوە و ڕاپەڕین. لە شایی کوردەواریدا، ئەوەی کە هەم سەرچۆپی و هەم گاوان دەستماڵیان لەدەستە واتای یەکسانیی ئەندامانی کۆمەڵگەی ئێمەیە؛ گرتنی دەستی یەکدی و لێکئاڵانی دەستی ژنان و پیاوان، هێمای یەکگرتوویی و پێکەوەیی نەتەوەیی و یەکسانیی ڕەگەزییە؛ هات و هاوار و قریوەقریوکردن لە ناو چۆپیکێشاندا بۆ ترساندنی دوژمن و ڕەواندنەوەی داگیرکەرە. نزم و بەرز بوونی جووڵەکان لە هەڵپەڕکێدا ئاماژەیە بۆ بۆسە نانەوە بۆ داگیرکەر؛ بازنەییبوونی شایی کوردان هێمایە بۆ باوەڕ بەیەکسانیی و ئاماژەیە بۆ سووڕی ژیان و سروشت کە لە نەورۆزدا دەگاتە ترۆپ.
لەبەرئەوە هەڵپەڕکێی کوردەواری تەنیا بۆ خۆشیی و شادیی نەهاتووە و مەبەستەکانی تەنیا بۆ ئاهەنگ و زەماوەندگرتن نییە، هەربۆیە کورد تەنانەت لە جەنگ و سەرکەوتنەکانیشدا، هەڵپەڕکێ ساز دەکات. چەند ساڵێک لەمەوبەر لە بەرەکانی جەنگی دژی داعش چەندین جار شەڕڤانان و پێشمەرگەکانمان شاییان کردووە و هەڵپەڕیون و ئەو چالاکییە ڕەگداکوتاوەی کوردەوارییان دووبارە کردووەتەوە.
هەڵپەڕکێ، نەک تەنیا ورەی جەنگاوەران بەرز دەکاتەوە، بەڵکوو نیشاندانی یەکگرتوویی و شانبەشانبوونی ئەندامەکانییەتی. هاوکات، هەڕەشەیە لە دوژمن و دەربڕینی هێزی کۆبوونەوەی کوردانە بەگژ دوژمناندا. کوتانی زەوی واتای بەرەنگاربوونەوەیە، هێرش و هەڵمەتبردنی کوردانەیە. لە دێرزەمانەوە هەڵپەڕكێ دوای سەرکەوتنەکان لە ناو کۆشکی پاشاکانیشدا، گێڕدراون.
لەوەش گرنگتر، کورد بۆ شەهید و بۆ مردووی گەنج شای و هەڵپەڕکێی بەستووە و هەلهەلەی لێداوە. چەندین جار بیستوومانە کە تەرمی شەهید، تەرمی گەنج و لاو بە شای و هەڵپەڕکێ پێشوازی لێکراوە، چەند هەفتەیەک لەمەوبەر لە ساتی پێشوازیکردن لە تەرمی شەهید ئەحمەد کەرکووکی کە لە ڕۆژاڤای نیشتمان گیانی بەخشی ، خوشکان و دایکانمان لە هەولێر بە هەلهەلە لێدان تەرمی ئەو شەهیدەیان بەخێرهێنایەوە.
لە نەورۆزدا دەبێت پەیامی ئێمە بۆ کوردستانیانمان لە وڵات و لە ئوسترالیا ئەوە بێت کە نەورۆز و شایی و هەڵپەڕکێی کوردان، تەنیا ئاهەنگگێڕان بۆ شادیی نییە، بەڵکوو ئاماژەیە بۆ ژیاندۆستی و مرۆڤدۆستی و ڕەتکردنەوەی فەرهەنگی لەخۆدان و خۆڕنین و قوڕپێوانە.
کورد، کولتوور و فەرهەنگ و فۆلکلۆری، هەرنەبێ بۆ ٥٠٠٠ ساڵ، بە ناخی مێژوودا ڕەگی داکوتاوە. هەموو کەشی هەڵپەڕین و پۆشاکمان، خۆشەویستییە بۆ ژیان نەک چاوەڕوانی مردن.

Newroz of Resistance and Support for Rojhelat

We celebrate this year’s Newroz (Kurdish New Year) at a time when Rojava (Western Kurdistan/Syria) has shown steadfast resilience, Başûr (Southern Kurdistan/Iraq) has become an arena for Kurdish unity, Rojhelat (Eastern Kurdistan/Iran) awaits liberation and freedom, and Bakur (Northern Kurdistan/Turkey) yearns for peace. Given the current situation across Kurdistan—especially in Rojhelat—we at the Kurdish Association felt it vital that our Newroz celebrations reflect the reality of our homeland. Therefore, we have decided to declare this a "Newroz of Resistance and Support for Rojhelat."
At Newroz, we celebrate resistance and dance to support Rojhelat. It is nothing new for the Kurdish Newroz to be a symbol of defiance, uprising, and struggle. Since ancient times, when Kurds joined hands to dance—when men and women stood together in the Reşbelek (a mixed-gender Kurdish folk dance)—they intended to show national unity to the enemies and occupiers of Kurdistan. When Kurds stomp the ground in unison, the rhythmic thud tells the occupiers: "We are rooted deep in this earth, and no one can uproot us."
Unlike some nations, Kurds do not dance alone. While others might dance solely for pleasure, the Kurd performs the Helperkê (traditional Kurdish dance) for war, for work and struggle, for grief and mourning, and for joy. Our Newroz has always encompassed all of these, and this year’s celebration follows that same tradition.
When Kurds celebrate Newroz and lead the dance as the Serçopî (the leader of the dance line), they symbolise the leaders of our nation. When they wave their handkerchiefs, they symbolise the Flag of Kurdistan—a sign of defiance and uprising. In Kurdish dance, the fact that both the Serçopî and the Gawanî (the dancer at the end of the line) hold handkerchiefs represents the equality of our society. Holding hands and the interlacing of men's and women's fingers is a symbol of national unity and gender equality. The shouts and cheers during the dance are meant to strike fear into the enemy and drive away the occupier. The rising and falling movements of the Helperkê signify an ambush for the oppressor; the circular nature of the dance represents a belief in equality and the cycle of life and nature, which reaches its peak at Newroz.
Therefore, the Kurdish Helperkê was not created just for fun, and its purpose isn't limited to weddings. This is why Kurds dance even during war and in the wake of victory. A few years ago, on the front lines against ISIS, our fighters and Peshmerga danced the Helperkê many times, repeating that deep-rooted Kurdish tradition.
The Helperkê doesn't just boost a warrior’s morale; it is a display of unity and standing shoulder-to-shoulder. It is a threat to the enemy and an expression of the collective power of Kurds against their oppressors. Stomping the earth is an act of resistance—a uniquely Kurdish charge. Since ancient times, victory dances have even been held in the palaces of kings.
More importantly, Kurds have danced and cheered even for martyrs and the young who have passed. We have often seen the bodies of martyrs and the youth welcomed with dancing; just a few weeks ago, while receiving the body of the martyr Ahmed Kirkuki (who gave his life in Rojava), our sisters and mothers in Erbil welcomed him back with helhele (ululations).
This Newroz, our message to Kurds in the homeland and here in Australia must be that Newroz and the Kurdish dance are not just about joy. They are a sign of a love for life and humanity, and a rejection of the culture of self-flagellation and mourning.
Kurdish culture and folklore have been rooted in history for at least 5,000 years. Our dances and our traditional clothes represent a love for life, not a longing for death.
