This session brings together experienced education leaders to explore trauma-informed practices, community partnerships, and coordinated supports that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Attendees will gain practical insight into addressing mental health needs across diverse school settings.
About Joseph D. Fantigrossi, Ed.D.: Dr. Joseph Fantigrossi has 28 years of experience in K–12 education as a teacher, administrator, and systems leader. He is currently the Regional Community Schools Coordinator at Monroe 2–Orleans BOCES and Director of the Community Schools Coalition in Monroe County, NY. Dr. Fantigrossi has presented nationally on trauma-informed instruction, community schools, and tiered interventions, consulted with over 40 districts, and led multiple state and federal grants focused on school-based mental health and safety.
About Angelina Pound: Angelina Pound, Director of Student Support Services, has dedicated 28 years to serving children and families in public school systems. She spent 20 years as a School Social Worker in a rural district before serving as an administrator in a large suburban district. Her work centers on addressing student mental health needs through compassionate, coordinated supports that help students and families thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
