We’re throwing out the safe bet and questioning the default at this year’s ACWP Practitioners Day with the theme, “Why Not?” A question that teases, taunts, and tantalises every writer to go beyond easy answers, join us in knocking down doors of tired tropes and colouring outside the lines. When the riskiest bet is the only one worth making, and black and white doesn’t mean grey, the question reigns supreme: why not?
The ACWP Practitioners Day 2026 welcomes all levels of writers for a day of inspiration, invaluable learning and networking with authors and fellow attendees.

Time: 10.00am to 5.30pm (Registration starts 9.00am)
As The Write Match and all workshops run concurrently, please select only ONE to attend.

Terms and Conditions
- Concession applicable to youths aged 18 and under, students, NSFs and senior citizens aged 55 and above. Please present your ID at the door for verification.
- All tickets and practitioners day passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Please present your digital Eventbrite ticket at the venue upon entry to receive your physical practitioners day pass and lanyard.
- ACWP reserves the right to refuse entry to those not in compliance with our policies.
