About this Event
UK film production company welcomes you to a focused one-day film workshop where actors and film crew work on and behind the camera, gain set experience, and leave with usable showreel and portfolio material.
Across the day you’ll perform or crew in two short scenes, capture BTS photos and videos for your socials and connect with plenty of like-minded creatives as well.
You can stay for the entire day into the evening or leave when you've done your scene and feel you got what you needed from the event!
Whether you’re just starting out in the industry or levelling up your showreel or portfolio, you’ll find collaboration, shared learning, and plenty of fun.
What’s Included
- Hands-on filmmaking & acting exercises and showreel filming
- Actors perform in professionally directed showreel scenes and improve knowledge of core technical skills: camera, lighting, eye line, blocking
- You get scene footage for showreels and portfolios as well BTS photos and videos
- Networking with the core creative team at Trident and new collaborators
- Stay for the entire day from morning until evening, or leave when you think you've got what you needed from the event!

Group Size & Format
We keep sessions small — typically 6 to 8 participants — to ensure personalised attention and in-depth guidance from each other and our director and crew.
Expect an open, collaborative environment with practical support throughout the day.

We’ll confirm the exact address and access details in your call sheet once you're signed up and we have a better idea of how many people are coming. Tell us your access needs early and we’ll do our best to accommodate you at the event.
Age & suitability
Most participants are 18+, but our scenes and the material we use are generally suitable for younger performers too. Under-18s are welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian who also holds a valid pass to the event. Feel free to contact us for more information about bringing younger actors!

Two new and original scene scripts will soon be made available to the next workshop participants.
Please start learning the material you’d like to perform. Every actor can appear in both scenes and choose the character that suits them best; if time allows, you may try both roles. On the day there’ll be a short morning rehearsal, but please practise in advance.
