The premier event for Catholic young adults in Australia returns once again. The Christus Rex Conference is ACSA’s national conference, celebrating 100 years since Quas Primas, the encyclical that established the Feast of Christ the King and proclaimed the social kingship of Our Lord over individuals, families, and nations. This year, the conference will centre on the social kingship of Christ and Catholic social teaching more broadly. A range of academics will address the theological, philosophical, and practical implications of these themes, offering serious intellectual formation rooted in the Church’s tradition. As always, the weekend will also feature the Mannix Ball on Saturday the 4th — a night of celebration, music, and dancing set amidst the weekend's programme of deep and stimulating talks.
Alongside intellectual engagement, worship lies at the heart of the conference. The programme will include a reverent daily Mass, the Divine Office, and a Eucharistic procession, ensuring that prayer and the sacramental life remain central throughout the weekend.
ACSA emerged from an intervarsity conference in 1942, and its national conference has since become a yearly fixture of Catholic student life across Australia. Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in one of the nation’s great traditions — run by young Catholics, for young Catholics.
