Weekly Contemporary dance training by Berlin Contemporary Dance.

CORONA NOTE:
In order to take the class(es), you need to
1. Book the class(es) in advance
2. Have NO cold symptoms!
3. Be fully vaccinated or recovered AND tested:
!! 2G+test RULE !!
The daily test can be replaced with a 3rd vaccination (booster).
For special exceptions please write us so we can confirm.
Your full vaccination (2 shots) needs to be 2 weeks old on the booked class date, the recovery max 6 months old and the daily test from 24 hours before the class!
In all cases you need to bring the appropriate certificates along.

THE COURSE IS LOOKING FOR ITS REGULARS!
With a subscription you commit to following the course regularly (weekly) until the end of June 2022, without the need of making bookings anymore!!
Subscribed participants are part of the regular group and can improve each week by regularly attending BCD's advancing courses!
The classes are then prepaid and the cancellation policy is 8 weeks in advance. For the times that you won't make it to class you simply need to cancel your spot for the date.
It does NOT matter if you are an USC member or not, if you want to get subscribed to a BCD course!
Subscriptions are OPEN until the end of JANUARY 2022!
After that:
The course will be semi-closed, to be followed mainly by the regular attendees.
There will be free spots for each class, to be booked from non-regular (not subscribed) participants, as usual.

DESCRIPTION:
Berlin Contemporary Dance 's workshops and weekly courses are emphasising on Contemporary Dance technique build-up and Improvisation.
The technical part focuses on floor work practice, developing the relation to the floor in all movement levels. The practice includes studying organic movement, different movement qualities and dynamics in our dance, and their impact to the body.
Through fixed phrases and improvisation tasks, we study the weight, the flow and direction of movement. We work on our spatial and body awareness and develop our kinaesthetic intelligence. Learning how the body moves in its full awareness, connecting and interacting with its environment - the other people, the space, the floor- and its own inner state at the same time.
** Technique is approached as a guide to efficiency in the movement of the human body. **
The internal structure of BCD's weekly courses is made to gradually deepen in the technique and develop through it. The classes are continual and advancing.
