Tom Kay is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from Yorkshire, UK, known for blending reflective songwriting with atmospheric and expressive guitar work. Over the course of his career, he has released five studio albums as a solo artist, gradually building a distinctive sound rooted in alternative, folk and ambient influences.
His debut album, From The Outside In, reached #32 on the iTunes chart upon its release in 2016, marking a strong introduction to his work. In 2017, Kay was invited by American singer/songwriter John Grant to perform at the North Atlantic Flux Festival, an early highlight that connected him with a wider international audience.
Alongside his solo output, Kay has worked as a guitarist with a range of artists, including The Broken Orchestra. Most recently, he contributed to Held By Trees’ album Hinterland, performing alongside musicians previously associated with the legendary British band, Talk Talk.
