Acid Wash "20th Anniversary Celebration" 80s Dance Party

Acid Wash is driven by the love for 80s music and a crowd of terrific people. Since 2006, Acid Wash has been Honolulu's go-to 80s dance party, and it has been a longstanding nightlife event in the city’s nightlife calendar, currently hosted at NextDoor.

The event features classic hits from artists such as Madonna and Depeche Mode, Men Without Hats, Stray Cats, New Order, Prince, Joan Jett, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, David Bowie, Tears For Fears, The Cure, Eurythmics, Wham, Soft Cell, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, INXS, Bananarama, Erasure, Thompson Twins, among many others. It also frequently hosts themed evenings, such as "Let's Get Physical".

🎧 DJ VEGAS MIKE - Founder of ACID WASH

Michael Licata (Vegas Mike) will be joining us all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada, to celebrate Acid Wash’s monumental 20th anniversary. As the founder and visionary behind Acid Wash, Mike saw the potential from day one and crafted a weekly event that took place every Wednesday night. His vision turned Acid Wash into a vibrant hub of art, music, and community, a cultural cornerstone that has stood the test of time. This 20th anniversary is a tribute to Michael’s passion and dedication—join us as we honor him and the enduring legacy of Acid Wash.

From 1998 to 2005, Mike was a member of Digital Assassins in Los Angeles, producing music featured on MTV, films including "Fast and the Furious", "Behind Enemy Lines", and numerous video games and TV licenses, totaling over 300. In 2005, he moved to Honolulu to direct operations at Nextdoor nightclub, collaborating with others to launch a successful weekly event, Acid Wash. Today, Mike is the owner/chairman of Whitemoon magnesium, which holds the only high-grade magnesium deposit in the continental U.S. WhiteMoonMg.com

In the heart of Hawaii’s eclectic music scene, DJ Nocturna found her rhythm and carved out a remarkable path in radio and nightlife, spanning over two vibrant decades.

Born with a natural inclination for music, DJ Nocturna embarked on her journey as a DJ and music promoter. With a penchant for the unconventional, she effortlessly blended goth, dark wave, industrial, 80s, New Wave, and alternative sounds into her unique sonic tapestry. Her distinctive style and impeccable taste made her a beloved figure in the underground music scene.

🎧 DJ KSM - Resident DJ at Hula's Bar & Lei Stand in Waikiki

DJ KSM is a versatile and dynamic DJ known for his eclectic blends of 80s and 90s music, hip hop, breakbeat, house, and everything in between—from obscure tracks to mainstream hits. A master of both vinyl and digital formats, DJ KSM has an ear for creating unforgettable sets that seamlessly move through genres and eras. He made his mark at the legendary club The Wave Waikiki in Honolulu, where his innovative mixes energized the city's nightlife. DJ KSM is continuing to set the vibe with his unique soundscapes.
