About this Event
TAKE TERRITORY
Prepare, steward, and move when God opens the door
What if owning land was not just a financial decision—but part of stewarding what God has entrusted to His people?
TAKE TERRITORY is a faith-centered information session designed to equip believers with practical knowledge about purchasing land on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, while exploring the Biblical principles of stewardship, inheritance, and preparation.
In Scripture we see God repeatedly giving His people land—not merely as property, but as a place to steward, cultivate, and pass on to future generations. As believers, we are called a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9) and entrusted to steward what God places in our hands with wisdom.
This gathering is for those who feel a stirring to prepare for the future, to go off-grid, to grow simple food gardens or large food forests, explore land ownership, or simply learn what it takes to responsibly buy and steward property in Hawaiʻi.
During this session we will walk through the practical realities of buying land on the Big Island, including:
• Understanding the different districts of Hawaiʻi Island and what makes each unique
• How lava zones impact insurance, financing, and risk
• The difference between residential and agricultural zoning
• What to know about water catchment systems and water access
• Basics of septic systems and wastewater requirements
• Living off-grid with solar power and energy systems
• What infrastructure may or may not exist on vacant land
• Key considerations when evaluating land for homesteading or future building
Along the way, we will also explore Biblical themes of stewardship and inheritance, including:
• Preparing wisely for the future
• The role of land throughout Scripture
• Stewarding resources as part of our calling
• Moving forward when God opens the door
Whether you are actively considering purchasing land, exploring homesteading possibilities, or simply want to understand the opportunities and responsibilities that come with land ownership in Hawaiʻi, this session is designed to provide clarity, wisdom, and practical insight.
Come learn, ask questions, and connect with others who are thinking about how to prepare, steward, and move when God opens the door.
