Abstract Collage Self-Portrait Workshop
Join us for an immersive creative experience where art, storytelling, and self-expression come together.
In this six-hour mixed media workshop, you’ll learn how to create a deeply personal self-portrait using layered painting techniques, collage, texture, and expressive mark-making. Through guided instruction and hands-on exploration, you’ll discover how to build a portrait that reflects more than just appearance — a layered expression of your story, identity, and creativity.
No advanced painting experience is required. This class is designed to support beginners as well as artists who want to expand their mixed media skills.

Participants will also explore how personal materials can become part of the artwork itself.

These elements can be incorporated into your painting to create a portrait that carries personal symbolism and story.

By the end of the workshop you’ll leave with:
• a completed 16 × 20 mixed media self-portrait • new painting and collage techniques • a deeper understanding of layered mixed media processes • a small collection of art supplies to continue creating at home
