About this Event
Aboriginal 'creation ancestor' stories explain how the landscape was formed and how certain species came to be. These stories describe how creation ancestors shaped and shifted the landscape and then entrusted these places to specific groups of people, and they hold strong significance for Aboriginal people.
Event participants will learn about Aboriginal sites, landscapes, places such as burial and ceremonial sites, objects and the creation stories that contribute to the living belief systems and customs of many Aboriginal people, and how they form what is commonly referred to as ‘Aboriginal Heritage’.
Local Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man Anthony Wilson will be presenting on the day and will bring direct First Nations insights.
The event will be indoors and a light lunch provided.
