About this Event
Since high school, writer and singer Abigail Vass has had a fascination with the lavish musical spectaculars that grace the stages of French amphitheaters, adapting familiar tales from Dracula to King Arthur into hit shows that are heavy on design, acrobatics, radio-ready pop songs, rock tenors – and often light on plot. How can something so bad be so…good? And does it have to be “good” to be celebrated?
Join Abigail on a dive into the absurd and the spectacular, featuring songs spanning twenty-five years of French theater, and some original English translations. Accompaniment on piano by Marissa Kerbel.
