Improvisation and creativity are at the forefront of this class, featuring both printmaking and the fiber arts. Print & Patch students will learn different methods of textile surface design, carve their own printmaking blocks, naturally dye fabrics with indigo, and print patterned fabric.
In the latter part of this 8-week class, classmates are invited to share the fabric they created with each other, as they begin construction of a patchwork or mini-quilt project which can take any shape. Participants will take home handmade creations that celebrate community and the renewable spirit of patchwork. All materials included.
