Writers, musicians, comics, this stage is yours. We live in a phenomenal city full of artists of every age and skill level, and this is the night we hand them the microphone.

Take three minutes to share what you've made: a poem, a story, an original song, a first try at stand-up. Step into the light, practice your oration and stagecraft, and learn how your work lands when it leaves the page. Low stakes, rough drafts, and loose ideas are all welcome. Come to get better at your delivery, meet other creatives, and have a good time.

Free and open to the public, with priority given to A Writing Room members.

Doors open at 6:30pm

To read & Perform: Slots are given out at the door as they're received, first come, first served, so come early for a guaranteed spot. Some priority spots are reserved for A Writing Room members who help make this venue possible.

Parking: Street parking is available on Folsom Street and the surrounding blocks, both metered and unmetered residential spots. The nearest garage is about two blocks away on 8th street between Market and Mission street at the Trinity Parking Garage. Arrive a few minutes early to find a space.
