What to expect from this event?
Students from across the School of Social and Political Sciences are warmly invited to kick off the Christmas season at our very special SPS event, A Very Classic Christmas!
Whether your festive disco-dance moves are well practised, or this is your very first time celebrating Christmas, this event is sure to get you into the holiday spirit.
We'll begin the evening with fun and festive activities (including the chance to get your raffle tickets!), followed by our disco which is hosted by a live DJ. You'll also have the chance to take a very classic Christmassy portrait with your friends!
Free food and drink will be available, with vegan and gluten-free options. For any accessibility requests, please contact the organiser - alternatively, you can leave a comment when registering.
Donations raised from the raffle (please give what you can) will be donated to Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas, helping local children in need this festive season.
Tickets
Tickets are FREE and are available on a first come, first served basis. This event is for SPS students only- make sure to register to secure your place.
Remember: Registering and failing to let us know that you can no longer attend results in a waste of food and a fellow student not being able to attend in your place.
If you can no longer attend the event, please contact the organiser or cancel your ticket via Eventbrite as soon as possible. This will give others a chance to join and avoid unnecessary no-shows, while also working towards our sustainability goals. Although the event is free to you, there is always a cost to the organiser. If you register for a ticket, please make every effort to join. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible.
Timings
Registration will open at 5.00pm and the event will start at 5.30pm. You must 'check-in' at the registration table before entering the event. Please make sure you have your Eventbrite ticket QR codes ready for check-in. Please try to arrive promptly as latecomers may not be admitted.
