Inferno Metal Festival in cooperation with Orgivm and Polypus Records presents: A Tribute to Darkthrone: A Night of Unholy Black Metal - The Second Coming
On Easter Eve 1996, history was made in Oslo. Under the heading "A Night of Unholy Black Metal", the originators of the genre - Darkthrone - played their last concert ever. Although they only performed four songs that night, the performance has become the stuff of legends, not least because the band has since stayed away from the stage. Now, 30 years later, almost to the date, it's time to relive that experience. The four songs from the original concert will make up the backbone of an evening where some of Norway's finest black metal musicians pay tribute to the masters themselves.
The band, consisting of members from bands like Troll, Den Saakaldte, Tilintetgjort, Dold Vorde Ens Navn, Zustand Null, Hevn III and Urarv, have over the last years performed annual tributes to Darkthrone, playing some of the band's classic albums in full to great acclaim. This evening they will be joined by a selection of exclusive guests for a new Night of Unholy Black Metal at Parkteatret. This will be a one-off performance, so make sure you don't miss it!
Wednesday 1 April at Parkteateret. Doors opens at 19.00.
Tickets: NOK 320 + fees. For four-day Inferno pass holders: NOK 175 + fees.
