About this Event
A Sweet, Delicious Life
Adult Art Workshop | May 10, 2026
Step into a world of colour, texture, and irresistible sweetness inspired by the joyful still-life paintings of Wayne Thiebaud.
Known for his iconic cakes, pies, and pastries, Thiebaud transformed everyday desserts into vibrant works of art using rich colours, soft shadows, and expressive brushstrokes to make them almost good enough to taste.
In this warm and welcoming workshop, you’ll explore how to paint your own delicious still life using acrylics. We’ll begin with a short, inspiring presentation on Thiebaud’s techniques—looking at how he used colour, repetition, and texture to bring simple subjects to life.
