About this Event
Course Synopsis
Direct composite restorations are a fundamental element in contemporary restorative dentistry. Despite their importance, achieving results that are both predictable and aesthetically pleasing can be difficult without a clear, straightforward process. This one-day course has been developed to equip clinicians with a practical, decision-based method for completing both anterior and posterior composite restorations. The focus is on simplicity, ensuring that clinical excellence is maintained while streamlining procedures.
The programme blends evidence-based theoretical knowledge with live demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Participants are guided through colour selection, layering techniques, and conservative strategies for restoration. Special attention is given to optimising clinical workflows, handling complex substrates, and implementing protocols that consistently yield predictable outcomes.
Throughout the day, attendees will learn how to make informed restorative decisions, simplify colour and layering processes for daily applications, and confidently apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Make confident and informed decisions during direct restorative procedures.
- Understand colour concepts and streamline shade selection for everyday dental practice.
- Apply layering protocols suited to various clinical circumstances.
- Use conservative strategies to reliably mask dark substrates.
- Utilise practical advice for achieving efficient posterior restorations.
- Execute predictable veneer layering, finishing, and polishing techniques.
