About this Event
The shoulder complex is a marvel of mobility.
While this is great to allow varied and complex movements such as lifting, reaching, pushing and pulling, it also makes the shoulders vulnerable to stress and injury, both in Yoga and in daily life.
In this 2-hour workshop, you will gain a deeper understanding of your shoulders through a practical and anatomical lens.
🌀 We will work towards restoring harmony in the shoulder joint and surrounding structures to create more stability and fluidity in every Asana.
⚖️We will understand how to maintain proper alignment in your postures, so as to develop healthier movement patterns outside your Yoga practice.
⚠️ We will explore common issues and discuss how to prevent them by navigating your Ashtanga practice with greater awareness and better technique.
At the end of the workshop, I hope you will feel like a huge weight has lifted off your shoulders and you will walk home light-heartedly with practical techniques to release tension, build (or rebuild) strength, and improve resilience.
