Two Winemakers. One Night. Eight Exceptional Wines
About this Event

For one night only, Sweeney's D3 hosts an intimate tasting that brings together two of South Africa’s most compelling winemaking voices - Angus Paul Wines and Keermont Vineyards. This is a rare opportunity to explore the depth, diversity, and energy of the Western Cape through eight exceptional wines, poured and presented by the people who craft them.

Angus Paul Wines (Stellenbosch)

Dynamic, thoughtful, and already turning heads, Angus Paul represents the new generation of South African winemakers. Working from Karibib Wine Craft in Stellenbosch and sourcing fruit from heritage vineyards across the Western Cape, Angus champions the country’s most expressive varieties - Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, and Cinsault.

Recently named one of Tim Atkin MW’s Rising Stars, Angus has earned critical acclaim with scores between 93 and 95 - a remarkable achievement for a producer whose first vintage was only in 2020.

Keermont Vineyards

High in the Paradyskloof valley, Keermont farms some of Stellenbosch’s most distinctive mountain vineyards, shaped by altitude, diverse soils, and cool Atlantic breezes. Winemaker Alex Starey, who has led the estate since 2005, works gently and naturally - spontaneous fermentations, seasoned oak, gravity‑flow movement, and minimal filtration. His wines are known for texture, elegance, and a strong sense of place. Keermont is certified vegan and part of the IPW sustainability scheme & and in a short time has already become a firm favourite among our customers at Sweeney's.
