A Night of Argentine Tango: Class and Milonga

Experience the passion, connection, and elegance of Argentine Tango in a welcoming and fun environment.
Join us for an evening that begins with a guided class and continues with a milonga (social dance) where you can practice, connect, and enjoy the music.
Whether you're completely new to tango or already dancing, this night is designed to help you learn, improve, and dance the night away.

🕕 6:00–8:00 PM — Argentine Tango Class
Learn the foundations of tango, explore connection and musicality, and build confidence on the dance floor.
🕗 8:00–10:00 PM — Milonga (Social Dance)
Stay and dance! Enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere with beautiful tango music and dancers from the community.

We are so thrilled to introduce our instructors:
Erin Malley and Doruk Golcu have danced, taught, and performed Argentine tango together for more than 20 years throughout the US and Europe. They continue to tour for several months of each year, and reside in Big Rapids, MI when they are not traveling.
With Erin’s extensive movement & dance background and Doruk’s substantial experience in various martial arts - they bring an impressive and comprehensive understanding of movement and dance to their work as Argentine tango teachers.
At the same time, Erin and Doruk are accomplished visual artists: Doruk is a fantasy illustrator, and Erin is an award-winning independent filmmaker. They apply their aesthetic training to the visual design of dance, helping you create a dance that is both kinesthetically and biomechanically sound, as well as beautiful, elegant, and styled to your taste.
E&D apply their vast knowledge of movement and arts to their longtime experience dancing Argentine tango. They adore working with crossover dancers, and movers in any discipline - helping students integrate their existing movement wisdom into their tango. Accessibility and inclusivity are incredibly important to them as teachers, and E&D feel strongly that excellence in training and dancing should be available to all.
They have been instrumental in founding the current iteration of Grand Rapids Tango, regularly teaching for GRT and collaborating on events.
