About this Event
Drawing on new evidence from the ESRC-funded Scottish Election Study, members of the Study team present a clear, accessible account of what shaped the 2026 Scottish Parliament election. Hosted by the Stevenson Trust for Citizenship at the University of Glasgow, this public event explores changing patterns of party support and the social, economic and ideological forces behind the result, using findings from the pre- and post-election surveys. The discussion offers a rare, evidence-led look at how voters made their choices and what those choices tell us about the state of Scottish democracy today.
This event is taking place in the Senate Room at the Gilbert Scott Building and streaming online.
