About this Event

Yeo Zhe Hao will perform a selection of 19th century European art songs and share his experiences studying voice and living for a year in Hamburg. As a recipient of the Bayreuth scholarship in 2024, he will speak about his expectations and goals for the upcoming week in August where he will attend operas and events in the southern German city of the same name that is home to the music of composer Richard Wagner.

Bio:
Zhe Hao is studying for a Bachelor of Music, Gesang, with Professor Jörn Dopfer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Formerly a baritone, he is currently training as a tenor. He will visit the Bayreuth Festival in August under a scholarship programme run by the Richard Wagner Foundation, which brings together more than 200 students from around the world.

Accompanist:
Pauline Lee is a highly accomplished pianist, holding a Master's degree (MMus) and Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music (FRSM) from the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK. She has performed in various places, including the UK, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. A passionate performer and teacher, she is an active accompanist for recitals, auditions, masterclasses, competitions and recordings.
