The small dance and the void. The back and dancing from behind. The fall as a driving force of walking and improvisation. What moves the pause. The fascia. The spiral within the figure eight. Weight on both legs while dancing. And the regulation of muscle tone.
All of this to further delve into the universe of tangocontact, with its musical aspect and the possibilities of group dance. We will have time to reflect on the music: is it possible to pause while the music is playing? What do we hear in the music? How does a particular piece of music affect a step? How do we relate to the music?
The workshop is open to dancers of all levels independently of their previous experience of tangocontact, tango, or contact improvisation.
Cacu Lucero, tango teacher that develops and explores the concept of tangocontact is travelling from Argentina to bring to us this beautiful dance. For the 5th year in a row in Glasgow, we will share another workshop, co-creating the space as a group and sharing our dances and colours.
