A Kidney Convo is a 90-minute, community-centered event designed to spark meaningful conversations about how we can support people living with kidney disease. Through short films, guided discussion, and personal storytelling, the event invites attendees to reflect, connect, and explore ways to make a difference—together.
This is not a lecture or medical presentation. It’s an open, welcoming space for honest dialogue, grounded in empathy and the power of real stories.
What Happens at the Event
Participants gather to watch and discuss short videos from the Next Step Next One storytelling campaign, which features: Individuals living with kidney disease and searching for a donor, Transplant recipients reflecting on their journeys, and Living donors sharing why they stepped forward and what their life is like now.
Rather than a medical presentation or lecture, A Kidney Conversation is a space to listen, ask questions, and reflect together. Small group discussions will invite participants to consider how kidney disease shows up in our communities and how we can offer compassion, support, and connection to those who are navigating it.
